A Signature Event with a Big Heart

The AFMUP Charity Golf Day has become one of the most anticipated events in the calendar. Held at Northenden Golf Club, the day brings together more than 60 teams — many featuring former players who trade the pitch for the fairway, but bring the same camaraderie and competitive spirit.

A Day of Sport, Stories & Shared Memories

Participants enjoy 18 holes of friendly competition, but the real highlight is the atmosphere: laughter between old teammates, stories of iconic United moments, and fans getting the chance to meet their heroes in an intimate setting.

The relaxed nature of the event makes it a standout each year, offering a rare blend of sport and nostalgia.

Driving Support for Local Charities

More importantly, the Golf Day plays a key role in supporting local charities. Over the years, funds raised have contributed significantly to causes such as the Pat Broadbent Leukaemia Research Fund.

Every swing, every team entry, and every auction bid helps the Association continue its long-standing commitment to giving back.

Looking Ahead to Next Year’s Tournament

With the Association nearing its 40th anniversary, next year’s Charity Golf Day is expected to be one of the biggest yet. Whether you're a former player, a supporter, or simply someone who loves golf for a good cause, the event promises a memorable day on and off the course.
